AFTER HOURS R&B REVUE - are a 10 piece outfit featuring horns and 2 girl singers in addition to the usual guitars, drums keyboards and male vocals. Our style is based on the early Rhythm & Blues Revues such as Ray Charles, Ike & Tina, James Brown and the Memphis Stax bands but we are also influenced by more recent acts such as Delaney & Bonnie, Frankie Miller and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
AL HUGHES - is a solo artist hailing from the Kingdom of FIFE - Al blends traditional delta & east coast blues to make classics sound original and originals sound classic.

BABY ISAAC - are a 5 piece band from KELTY again in the Kingdom of FIFE. They are known as a stunning, swinging, foot stomping, good time party band. They play swing and blues, and are fronted by female vocalist Angela. The band is driven by harp, guitar, double bass & drums.
BAD BOOGALOO - are a 4 piece band from STIRLING featuring Rockabilly, Blues and Bluegrass. The band were formerly known as the Hoolits. Check out their spinning double bass! (see www.myspace.com/badboogaloo)
BLACK CAT JOOK BAND - are a 4 piece outfit from FIFE, playing a mixture of country blues and 30s - 40s Urban Blues, using guitars, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica, washboard, jug and tea-chest bass.
BLACKRIVER BLUESMAN & THE CROAKING LIZARD - are a 4 piece from FINLAND. "There is something very raw in Blues, it is the best form of music through which you can express yourself", says Jussi Konttinen (Baritone guitar). Formed in the 1970s by Jukka Juhola and his cousin Juha Lindgren (harmonica) in Southern Finland, the Band has four members ,including Jukka, Juha, Jussi and Aniti Hutrinen on Drums.
"Our original compositions are incarnations of Blues. Their roots are Mississippi mud, "You can always innovate through your personal feelings" says Jukka. Their music is raw, but so hypnotic that it entrances everyone. Jukka has many influences that are reflected in their music, ranging from the Delta to Alternative Blues, and Seventies Rock like Black Sabbath and The Doors. BLUEBELLY - are 2 piece acoustic blues duo from INVERNESS, playing all original material, in a unique Scottish blues idiom. The band have just completed their new album entitled "Still Waiting" which they will be showcasing at this years Blues Bonanza in advance of it’s official launch in July. THE BLUE KINGS - are a 6 piece band from South of the border in YORKSHIRE. Now veterans of the Bonanza, the Bluekings have been playing their own blend of Chicago and West Coast harp driven swing blues for the last ten years. With three vocalists, two lead guitarists, harmonica and a solid rhythm section, they deliver an unpretentious, authentic sound. BLUESHOUSE - are veterans of numerous Blues festivals including Maryport, Colne, Burnley, Borders, Edinburgh, Arbroath and for the 5th year running, Dundee's Blues Bonanza. A storming 3 piece led by Londoner Chris McSweeney on guitar/vocals,with Noel Peters on Bass, and Dundee drum legend, Ronnie Jack, Blueshouse perform an eclectic mix of original songs with classic Blues and Blues/Rock from artists as diverse as Eddie Boyd, SRV, Cream and early ZZ Top.
BLUES POSITIVE - from YORKSHIRE, are a 4 piece band based in Leeds/Bradford area. Their blues style is mainly high-energy and up-tempo. Their repertoire ranges from the 50’s and 60’s Chicago blues of Sonny Boy Williamson and Little Walter right up to the present day, with influences from Willie Dixon, Junior Wells, Muddy Waters, Taj Mahal, Cream, Mose Allison, Nina Simone, Robert Cray, and many more. BOB HALL - is a virtuoso blues and boogie piano player from YORKSHIRE. From the North Sea Jazz Festival to the San Francisco Blues Festival, Bob has taken his unique brand of blues and boogie woogie all over the world for more than forty years. Bob has played with the best, guesting with world renowned recording artists such as Howlin Wolf and John Lee Hooker, and is also part of the British Blues All Stars. CHRIS JAMES - is a solo Bluesman from CARLISLE playing authentic, mesmerising slide and Acoustic Guitars, that will transport the audience to the Mississippi Delta.
CRAWLER - Crawler are a 5 piece classic rock band from DUNDEE. Formed in the Spring of 2002, the band went on to play their first real gig in August 2002 and haven’t looked back since. it has taken a while, but they now have built up a large following in Tayside and Fife, they are regulars at biker shows and festivals playing all the classic rock numbers you have ever heard of, every weekend in local pubs. DAVE PEABODY - is a solo slide guitarist, vocalist and is a stalwart of the British Blues scene. Dave has been performing consistently since the mid 60’s and has featured on over 40 albums. Known mostly for his acoustic playing (3 times voted UK Acoustic Blues Artist of the Year ) and touring with American blues artists such as Charlie Mussel White, Honey Boy Edwards and Chicago Bob Nelson. Dave has also played in a number of bands including ex-Yardbirds guitarist Top Topham’s Bluestime. Playing with King Earl has allowed Dave to cut loose his electric alter ego.
DEFENDER - are a 3 piece outfit from GLASGOW. A Rory Gallagher tribute band, so expect blood, sweat and energy in no small measure.
THE DOCTOR BROWN BLUES BAND - has been playing the blues circuit now for over 25 years. In that time he has played at all the major festivals such as Colne, Burnley, Dundee, Maryport, Arbroath, Edinburgh, and also played major festivals in Holland. He has opened shows for many of the great blues legends such as Albert Collins, Albert King, Sherman Robertson, Joe Louis Walker and many, many more. The band play west coast swing but the main difference is that this band love to play this kind of music. This band are well dressed, slick and as tight a band as you will ever come across. West coast swing at its very best.
DR HIP & THE BLUES OPERATION - are a 6 piece band from the WEST COAST of SCOTLAND featuring Guitar, Keyboard and two vocalists. A traditional fueled combination of Chicago Blues, Muddy Waters with the Big Band sound of Louis Jordan.
DR BENDIX - are a 3 piece from NORWAY. In 1999, three well seasoned Musicians were lured to the Blues by the recordings of Muddy Waters, Lee Oscar, Robert Johnston, Dave Hole, Johnny V, The Blues Brothers etc. Through individual and band perfomances,they played Blues, Jazz, R`n`R and Heavy Rock, that became the Catalyst that inspired them to become Dr Bendix. In the Spring of 2002, Dr Bendix recorded a CD entitled "Life is a Rocky Road", to help promote their songwriting and Musical interpretations. The band play either as a 3 or 4pc.

THE FIVE ACES - are a 5 piece outfit from GLASGOW playing R&B with the great sound of the Hammond organ. They’ll also entertain you with some Rock n Roll and Swing with a whole lotta Soul thrown in.
FLAMING STRATMAN – are a 3 piece, featuring German bluesman Werner “Flamingstratman” Lindner and band from LONDON. They play an individual styled version of modern blues rock – covers and originals.
FUSCHI - are a 3 piece from LANCASHIRE, playing Blues, Funk and Blues rock, all mixed up with a modern edge.

GERRY DICKSON - is a solo guitarist from GLASGOW, playing in 1930s - 1950s blues styles. He plays in various interesting tunings on both 6 and 12 string guitars.
GRAHAM ROBINSON - is a solo player from COLNE. Graham plays Pre War East Coast Country Blues, and Ragtime Guitar. Influences are Blind Boy Fuller, Blind Blake etc.
GREEN MAC - are a 4 piece from YORKSHIRE. They play British blues from the 60s and 70s era, and are influenced by Peter Greens original Fleetwood Mac Band, BB King, Elmore James etc. (see www.greenmac.org or www.myspace.com/greenmac1)

THE HARDLUCK BLUES BAND - are a 5 piece band made up of the three members of THE RATTLESNAKIN DADDIES and with the addition of two more members on Bass and Drums. This band will deliver a much tougher electric style set. As well as playing authentic Blues in the traditional styles, they will add their own Nordic interpretation to their Blues roots. JED THOMAS BAND - are a 4 piece band from YORKSHIRE. Jed digs deep into the Rory Gallagher's bag of tricks, but also has a prolific arsenal of his own. Don’t expect this guy to be predictable!!!

THE KING BZ - are a 4-Piece, up-tempo, Swinging and Rocking Blues band from YORKSHIRE. Zoot-suited, with mayhem aplenty. A fantastic stage show.
THE KRISSY MATTHEWS BAND - are a 3 piece band from ENGLAND. This band is led by 14 year old Krissy, who is fast becoming a blues phenomenon. Krissy has had some great reviews including one by the man himself Hubert Summlin. The band plays original material and music from Hendrix, Freddie King and Robert Cray.

LIGHTS OUT BY NINE - are one of Scotland’s best known Soul and R & B Bands. This 7-piece band from FIFE play largely original material. They have supported Nazareth and The Average White Band and also been involved with the famous Frankie Miller Tribute Show.
LINDA JACKSON BAND - are normally a 6 piece band from GLASGOW but will play as a 4 piece at the bonanza. They are a vocal led band covering Aretha Franklin, Billie Holliday and much more.

MR SPIDER - are also a local outfit from DUNDEE. This 3 piece band offer up The Blues Texas Style with female vocals. 2007 Headliner Lil Jimmy Reed liked the band so much that he jammed with them for a couple of numbers. What a show.
MUD IN YOUR EAR - This EDINBURGH trio are gonna treat you to a selection of 1920’s - 1950’s Blues. Guitars galore, Harmonica, Boogie Woogie Piano & vocals from all three.

PAUL ROSE - are a 3 piece from NEWCASTLE. A guitar virtuoso, Paul will be playing electric guitar in his own dynamic style. Paul has won national awards when he was younger as one of the best young Guitarists in Britain.

THE RATTLESNAKIN DADDIES - are a dynamic 3 piece acoustic band from Norway who were a big hit at the 2006 event. The Band members have been digging deep into the traditional styles of the Blues, and will use the acoustic guitar, harmonica and vocals to produce a wide ranging blues set.
RED DAWG - Aberdeen based, high energy mix of old time classics and original funky stuff with a bit of hard rock blues thrown in for good measure. Fronted by Janie Garvie on vocals and alto sax, Red Dawg bring the house down wherever they go. With new super whizz guitarist Graham Barclay this band guarantees you a bopping good night to remember.
THE REVOLUTIONAIRES - are a 4 piece 1950’s R&B band from the NORTH OF ENGLAND delivering an authentic blues/sax sound.
ROSY BLUE - are a 5 piece Electric Blues Band from EDINBURGH, covering a wide range of styles from Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters and Stevie Ray Vaughan. A Must See Band. SANDY BLACK - are a duo from PERTHSHIRE playing early acoustic blues in the style of Sonny Terry.
THE SCUMBAGS - in memory of our very dear friend and founder member, Denis McBride, will consist of the four surviving original line-up this year. Debby on vocals, Spam on Bass, Pat on the drums and Jon on guitar will be joined by special guest and guitarist/vocalist Kerry Silver. Mostly blues, rock and occasional flippant musical departures."
SKINNY JIM - are a 5 piece from CUPAR, FIFE who deliver an energetic performance of contemporary R&B and RnR, with Kate the vocalist strutting her stuff.
SLIDE BOY ROY - are a 4 piece from THE MIDLANDS playing Chicago Blues including great slide.
SNAKEHIPS O’DONNELL - is a solo artist from EDINBURGH, whose style of Blues comes from a vast knowledge of various blues greats, such as Muddy Waters, Elmore James and Howling Wolf. Snakehip’s plays some Boogie & some Woogie with great panache.
SON HENRY BAND - the Lap Steel guy from Alaska and his amazing 3 piece band. Styles ranging from soulful Delta Blues to Texas Shuffles.

WILL TANG - is a solo act from ENGLAND. Will is inspired by Muddy Waters .Hendrix,Bob Dylan and Led Zeppelin from the old school to the more Modern White Stripes,Roy La Montagne and Jck Johnson.
WOLFTRAIN - are a 6 piece Blues Band from PERTHSHIRE. A mixture of long, hard experience and bright, new talent. Wolftrain is a Band with horns that give them their unique sound. Their style is authentic Blues, Rock and Roll, Swing and also some original material. They “Boogie with the Best” and over the years have supported Jack Bruce, Dr Feelgood, The Blues Band and Otis Grand.
