BIG BONANZA PARTY LAUNCH (Friday 26th June in Dexters, Castle St, 7.30pm till late)
Due to the extreme financial difficulties experienced by everyone this year we have been forced to forgo our traditional policy of having a big name international act to open the Bonanza at the Friday Party. This year we will be amalgating the usual Sunday party into one great big Friday Night Extravaganza and this will be held in Dexters in Castle St, where we can all enjoy the music of some of our international friends, including Jimmy C and The Blue Dragons (Canada), The Blue Stripes featuring singer Kitto (Australia) and her drummer Bill Bryant (America), The Flaming Stratmen fronted by Werner (Germany), and last but by no means least, one man band Nikolaj Andersen (Denmark).

There will be an unavoidable cover charge at the door, but we will throw in a free 2009 DBB Official Programme.

BLUES WORKSHOP (Sat 27th 11am till 2pm approx)
Every year we choose a different location for the workshop. This year Social in South Tay St is the host and as always we try to include some of our international musicians in the mix.

ACOUSTIC SUMMITS (all day Sat and Sun in between scheduled acts)
Due to popular demand, this year will see not one, but two Acoustic Summit events. These summits allow acoustic artists to get together and play. We have decided that the venues most suitable for the events are Ogstons in North Lindsay St and Deacon Brodies in Ward Rd. A vocal PA plus 2 boom stands and mics will be available in both venues. Have Fun!

ELECTRIC JAM (Sun 28th 6.30pm approx)
The Electric Jam is again scheduled to be held in Dexters, in Castle St, where it was such a huge success last year. All Backline and PA will be provided by the venue and the Master of Ceremonies will be Alaskan born guitarist, Son Henry.

JUNIOR WORKSHOP (Sun 28th 1pm start)
The junior workshop this year is a co-ordinated effort between several factions and will be hosted by Dick Wardell. It will be held in Dexters, in Castle Street on Sunday 28th June. There will be facilities for youngsters to come along and hopefully be involved. Dick Wardell is well known on the festival circuit throughout Europe and in fact took part in the very first Blues Bonanza 15 years ago.

PHOTO EXHIBITION (All day Sat and Sun during opening hours)
Internationally renowned photographer Dave Peabody will again be providing a photo exhibition, and this is scheduled to be held in The Chambers of Commerce, in Panmure Street. Dave’s theme will be blues festivals around Britain, and the title of this years event is "UK Blues Now". It is hoped that we will be able to see some of the photos that Dave took during last years event.
